Why would a Swingers Club Want to Become a Religion?
by cha ching in" a nashville swingers club has undergone a conversion it now says that it is a church in order to win city approval, so that it can open next to a christian school.
" (associated press).
the article explains, "a church is something that cannot be defined under the u.s. constitution"..... wt lawyers explain to the court all of the time; 'you can't interfere with our internal church policies, or you will be infringing on our first amendment rights.

"Their tenets of the church sort of like the Ten Commandment,"said club's
longtime lawyer Larry Roberts. He listed a few "Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not
cheat. Do not commit any act that will be harmful to others. Do not commit
adultery without the knowledge and consent of your spouse".
I like this church. Is it adultery when your spouse give you the OK????

In my life time I have survived 3 or 4 end of the world. Don't
want to sound like I'm bragging or anything but that is a hell
of a accomplishment.

The poor and deprived life of JW children.
by Esse quam videri ini find it hard to believe that adults on this forum make such a big deal about not celebrating birthdays, x-mas, easter, halloween, etc, etc, etc.
i grew up as a jw kid and it actually made me feel good, being different from the other kids in school.
we went to meetings.

Dangerous "Pent up" feelings inside of most witnesses?
by stuckinarut2 ini have often wondered if there is more harm done to people who are stifled or smothered from expressing their natural conduct, feelings or actions because of it being condemned by religious ideals?.
so if a person keeps suppressing their real personality and tries to mould themselves to the "perfect" or "ideal" version as expected from those controlling them, could they eventually "bust" so to speak?.
for instance, witnesses condemn many forms of entertainment.

Lets face it, we all have a core desire to have a joyful experience of
life.
The more connected you are with yourself, the lesser your chances of
holding onto any deluded desires ( joyful life as a JW). By "staying connected
with yourself", I mean have a deep sense of the NATURAL makeup of
your brain(including its core personality), rest in your being and thus allow
the intelligence of your life-stream to touch your mind. Most deluded desires
are created through a lack of understanding of one's own true nature and
by fueling a psychological craving over wisdom.

mimimimi: yes similarities. Their figures suggest it's becoming more difficult
to find people willing to convert to Mormonism, especially in highly
developed parts of the world where people are less apt to turn to
religion for help because their basic needs are being met.

When you have a low level of awareness in your brain your desires can
be pretty mismatched with your heart's calling-this is normal because
when you have low level of awareness you are mostly taken in by
conditioning and shallow perceptions, of the outside without really getting
a sense of your own natural makeup, wisdom and inner guidance.
